25 Trees and other Picturesby David Hockney -opening Wednesday September 14th (until end of April 2012)
We're very proud to be opening a new show by David Hockney here at Salts Mill, featuring three 27-foot-long pictures of Bessingby Road,Bridlington.Other Yorkshire landscapes and recent portraits of family and friends are also on show.
In the projection room you can see Hockney's recent works on the iPhone and iPad, which cannot be seen anywhere else in the UK.
The show which is on the third floor, is open Wednesday - Sunday, 10.30am - 4pm, admission free
1853 Gallery is on the ground floor and has a wide selection of David Hockney's art ranging from early drawings to recent oil paintings.
Inside the Diner on the second floor is David Hockney's Local Snaps exhibition. Next to the Diner is the 2nd Gallery at the end of this gallery there is an exhibition showing the History of Saltaire . It also includes the famous "tennis" print, which was faxed by David Hockney to the Mill from his studio in Hollwood Hills in 1990.
